Hill Country Retreat - Luxury Home w/ Hot Tub

I wanted to love this place more than I did. While I will say the host was very responsive when I needed something there was many things that I had an issue with. To start off it was so so hard to locate our house I eventually had to ask someone who worked at the resort to help us and it was all the way down the road. Then no instructions to get in the house was given and I was told there was a lock box on the side of the house. The side of the house was so grown up the grass was above my knees and filled with stickers and I had to walk through it to get the key for the house. Which when I notified the host they were great and did send someone out to mow the next day. And lastly the linens had a few stains on them. Overall the house was cute though and the price point was good but was disappointed with other small things.

I should have cancelled when I had the chance. Everything was fine until about a week before check in. They requested an additional “damage waiver” be paid outside of the Airbnb platform. After much back and forth between the host and Airbnb it was waived. I would have paid it if it was disclosed when I booked the place. When we checked in there were bugs all over the place. On the sheets, bathrooms, the kitchen, hot tub etc. There was also hair still left around the master bath shower and sink. The beds are harder than rocks as well. I understand this house is around new construction but simple pest control would have solved this issue. I live in the country and my home has never been as infested as this place. They also request you take the trash out. No big deal… except the dumpster is two streets over at the unfinished clubhouse. So any trash you accumulate has to be placed in your vehicle and driven over. Overall I would not recommend this place.

the home was stunning, only complaint would be I was not provided a code to enter upon arrival. I did call and the problem was resolved.

Had a heck of a time finding it its to the south east of town about 2 miles from the vineyard but really nice place

We loved our stay at Arch Ray! The map and address do not match the location though. I’m not sure if it is because it is a new development or what but the address took us to the other side of town. Other than that it was my favorite place thus far to stay!

Great stay. The house was clean, cozy, and beautifully furnished. Loved the 2 bed/2 bath setup, the jacuzzi, and the small backyard pool. Everything felt new and well-designed. Highly recommend.

Words can’t explain how nice & new this home was. Had everything we needed and more, not to mention the jacuzzi was a nice touch. The stars are so nice in the evening. This thriving resort will be completed by next year and can’t wait to come back to stay again. They have their own winery, distillery and brewery. The restaurant was very accommodating and had lots of great choices. The grounds are very well taken care of and staff are very friendly. I would highly recommend you stay here whether you stay at a home on the property or bring a RV/Camper. Pricing was very good and would recommend a stay here. I would give 10 starts but can only put 5.

An easy Google Maps search could have given Arch Ray the correct address, but they currently have the wrong one listed. Even the people we communicated with could not provide the correct address or clear directions to the house. Once we finally got to the house -thanks to Arch Ray Winery management, not the “host” - the door code did not work. Thankfully, they were able to unlock it remotely, but we then spent the rest of our evening testing ways to get the door to lock and unlock properly when leaving. They even had someone come out at 9 PM to look at it. Eventually, we were given a new code and were finally able to come and go without worrying about being locked out. Other than those issues, the house itself was great. Hopefully the host updates the address before the next guest stays there. A wild goose chase with a 1-year-old close to bedtime is definitely not recommended.
